Cow Parade Austin, 2011

The Austin Harmony Project stays involved and gives back to the community. Harmony's artists were invited to participate in the 2011 Austin Cow Parade. They were excited to share their talent in creating their own signature life-sized cow named “Peace, Love, and Harmoooomy.”

After Harmony's cow was part of a city-wide public exhibition at Shady Grove and the Long Center, it was chosen as one of 40 cows selected to be auctioned off at the Austin City Limits Moody Theater hosted by Jay Leno on November 13, 2011--

Harmony's cow sold for $20,000.00-- Proceeds benefited the Superhero Kids Endowment at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX.

Harmony's cow is now part of a private collection in Austin, TX. It's on permanent display and makes someone smile every day.

What Does Harmony Do For Its Clients?

Harmony is the real deal, a nonprofit that brings joy, meaning and social connections to adults with developmental disabilities. The clients are showered with opportunities to express themselves through music, art and other creative endeavors, and their work adds beauty to the lives of others. These adults, who otherwise might be isolated, thrive in the Harmony environment." ~Mary Gordon Spence
